The Overview
ISG is an insurance Premium Audit firm, specializing in providing premium audit and related services to insurance carriers and managing general agencies in the Southeast region. They handle premium audits for all variable exposure-based policies, such as Workers’ Compensation, General Liability and Commercial Auto. Additional services include third party dispute resolution, classification inspections, premium audit review and consulting.
The
Challenge
Insurance Services Group of the Southeast utilizes an industry-standard audit software suite that very ably handles their firm’s transactional operations. This line of business software lacked detailed business intelligence functionality; furthermore, ISG were struggling with an underperforming initial attempt to develop these BI features. ISG management challenged Mercury to deliver high-level business intelligence for practice management and their key clients.
The
Solution
Mercury designed and implemented an Azure-centered solution for operational data consolidation utilizing Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory. This cloud data solution efficiently and effectively integrates business platform data into an online data warehouse. The MercuryWorks team implemented a suite of Power BI reports and associated Power Automate flows atop this business data layer to present digestible intel to ISG managers and key clients.

ISG‘s modernized business intelligence reporting and process automation has streamlined ISG’s business processes while improving their customer’s overall user experience.
